בֹּאוּ שְׁעָרָיו בְּתוֹדָה, חֲצֵרוֹתָיו בִּתְהִלָּה

‘Enter His gates with thanks, His courtyards with praise’

As we approach this year’s Gibraltar Girls High School Tehillimathon, we do so with heartfelt gratitude to הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא — thankful for the miraculous return of our hostages in Eretz Yisrael, and filled with renewed appreciation for the countless blessings we often take for granted each and every day.

In commemoration of the Nachala of Rachel Imeinu (11th חשׁון) we remember that “שַׁעֲרֵי דִמְעוֹת לֹא נִנְעָלוּ” — “The gates of tears are never closed.” Together, we pray for the return of those who have not yet merited a proper Jewish burial, for רפואה שׁלמה for all those who need, and for Hashem’s mercy and protection over our brave soldiers who are fighting for the safety of all Am Yisrael.

Every Jew is a soldier in Hashem’s army. One vital division of that army is תפילה  — the power of prayer and tears. This is YOUR opportunity to stand alongside our GGHS girls as they strengthen Am Yisrael’s most powerful weapon — the weapon of תפילה.

Please donate generously in support of our girls’ heartfelt recital of Tehillim. Encourage them as they storm the heavens with their prayers, and together, let us fulfil our mission as loyal soldiers in Hashem’s service.
